Reaching Milestones
Reaching Milestones’ main objective was to conduct research and generate recommendations based on the experiences of ethnic minority women regarding their accessibility and utilisation of health and social care services in Glasgow.

New Scots Talent
This project strived to enhance awareness and empower individuals who identify as New Scots. Our goal was to bolster their skills, cultivate valuable experiences, foster personal development and instil confidence.

Thistles & Dandelions Residency
Thistles & Dandelions was a project of EWfC that worked to support access to heritage in Glasgow for ethnic minority women; whether that is through making use of museums and galleries, or taking ownership of the heritage stories told.

Financial Well-Being
This project aimed to build the financial resilience of women in the community, through providing support through access to vital services, and providing long-term solutions through training and education.

Low Carbon Community
The Low Carbon Community project aimed to assist ethnic minority women in Glasgow in reducing carbon emissions associated with travel and household textile waste. We offered free activities such as upcycling workshops and a women’s cycling club.

Cohesive Cultures and Heritage in Action
This was EWfC’s first project! Aiming to bring people from all backgrounds together, to celebrate Scottish heritage and the many different cultures within Scotland

Talent Within
Funded by Awards for All Scotland, Big Lottery Fund, the main aim of the project was to empower, equip and support ethnic minority women in Glasgow to identify their skills, strengths and what they can offer to their families, communities and the overall Scottish society.

Year of Young People 2018
The project aimed to celebrate the achievements, potential and confidence of young people from ethnic minority and isolated communities, and to create new opportunities for them to shine locally and on a global stage.

Sharing and Learning
This project provided women with a space to talk about what matters to them, their needs, issues, and how they want to move forward to achieve this for themselves.

Space to Escape
Our project Space to Escape funded by Glasgow Life, aimed to provide free, high quality art workshops for ethnic minority women. This created a space for relaxation, improved mental health and wellbeing, creativity, integration and social interaction.

Poverty Relief
Funded by the Henry Duncan Grant, Corra Foundation, the project aimed to help families of asylum seekers, refugees, and vulnerable ethnic minority individuals who are living in poverty, to cope and feel supported.

Adapt and Thrive & Communities Recovery Fund
We received funding from the SCVO Adapt & Thrive fund from April 2021 – May 2021, which allowed for the continuation of the Low carbon Community Activities including Swap Shop / upcycling and cycle training classes for two months.

Shaping the Future Together
Funded by Faith in the Community Scotland from January to December 2021.
The project aimed to have various charities from different areas of Scotland work together to address some of the systemic issues in their community.

Power in Creativity, Freedom in Abstraction
Funded by Awards For All Scotland, the project aimed at helping diverse groups of women in creating abstract art pieces in unique and fun ways in a relaxed environment.
The project was delivered in partnership with 16 Nicholson Street Gallery, artist Beth Shapeero and mindfulness practitioner Lorna from Compassionate System
